for coming up with a great experiment. Did you know that fruit flies can live for up to a day without their heads? Miesenbock and his team at Yale U. shine unfocused laser light down their throacic ganglion (equivalent to our spinal cords) to simulate nerve impules coming from their missing brains. This replaces stimulation with electrodes which is very difficult and inaccurate. With the laser signals they have been able to initiate jumping and flying responses. Amazing.

The only one I agree with is #1. NASA has dropped the ball, the Russian program is broke and my hope is that the new commercial upstarts are successful.k

2, 3, 4, 5, 10 I never used so don’t miss them.

6. I had an original Palm Pilot, upgraded to the Pro and eventually bought a Visor Edge which I still have and use. The Edge is better than the Pilot

7. There are lots of bad keyboards out there but there are still good ones to be found.

8. I like wireless.

9. I’m not a big audiophile so can’t hear the difference between LPs and CDs like some. CDs are more convenient.

1 out of 10 is pretty bad.

in Toronto for wasting my time with too many commercials.

I realized how bad it was after seeing Murderball at a different theatre where there were no commercials and a single coming attraction.

At the SilverCity Theatres in Yorkdale and Yonge/Eglinton they show commercials with the lights up before the scheduled show time. Then when the lights go down they show 10 minutes (I timed it) of commercials. Then they show around 7 minutes of coming attractions. That’s way too many.

If I’m going to pay almost $10 for a movie that should eliminate the need for the commercials.

A great movie. It’s about the US and Canadian Quad Rugby Teams (quad rugby was originally called Murderball but the name was sanitized). He men in wheelchairs disspelling stereotypes of the “dis” abled. These guys are much more able than most. Nice personal stories. I would have liked to see more of the sport itself. Good documentary. Highly recommended.
