Pleasantly, the blog is actually the fresh niche about this registry corresponding issue. I harmonize with your conclusions and will eagerly anticipate your incoming updates. Just say thank you will not enough, with the lucidity with your content. I will immediately get your rss feed to keep abreast of every updates.

My 8000 had a manual record and I used it several times but it again was less than satisfactory. In the list of recordings it would list whatever the guide said was on at the start of the recording. However, I often used manual to record when the guide wasn't correct so the label was just misleading.

I am now back in the US and have a Tivo HD and am generally pleased with it (although I've had to reboot a few times when it has gotten into a bad state). The new Tivos have addressed the 2 issues that using a cable provider-based PVR could claim as an advantage: channel changing with cable cards and being able to record 2 programs at once (using 2 cable cards). Also, I like the fact that I can play my iTunes music from my computer over the network.

The day I handed back my Explorer 8000 and ended my days with Rogers was a very happy one.

On at least some cable systems, the 8000 has a limited manual-recording facility, though it's kind of hidden. If you hit the green List button, then hit the blue "B" button for Preferences, the displayed menu might include "Schedule a Manual Recording."

LunarPages is ok if you have one site that uses hardly any bandwidth and no scripts. I was with them for 4 mos and building sites and blogs for resale, and every month they told me I was using too many resources. It was not bandwidth, it was scripts (Wordpress Only) that they claim was using resources. After updating all of my sites, they still complained. Then I started having email problems and script problems. They said the scripts problem was due to someone hacking one of my blogs. I suggested they block the IP of the hacker, but they said they couldn't do that. Anyway, after using their useless tech support and getting nowhere, I switched hosts and have no had any "excuses" or problems since.

If you want to put up a site to show your family or vacation pics, it's ok, but if you run scripts or regular websites>>>STAY AWAY FROM LUNARPAGES, as they will cut you off without notice as they did in my case. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
