Video podcast WebbAlert is off to a fine start. Concise and clearly written tech news summaries with attribution. I think it’s going to take away some of the Rocketboom audience. I plan to watch every day (well, the 4 days a week it is currently being produced).

The Merlin Show | Thirty theoretically productive frames per second is a new video podcast where Merlin Mann does interviews, gives tips, and generally expounds his productivity philosophy. The interviews so far have been insightful. I very much enjoy his summary wrapups where he explains what one might have learned from the interview.

Happy Day Of The Ninja — December 5.

GETV (Geek Entertainment TV) covers web 2.0 and tech topics. Irina (but not her father, Boris) interviews various luminaries in her unique witty style. A good human touch to the often dry, fact-based blogosphere. I like that the video podcasts are short and to the point. Some of the off the wall questions lose their [...]

You Got Questions, Ninja Got Answers. | Ask A Ninja but be prepared to be killed for your efforts! One of the funniest things out there. Consistently good video podcast. Usually under 5 minutes. Tightly edited. And you can learn about the ninja lifestyle (which involves a lot of killing, so maybe “deathstyle” is more [...]

Slice of Scifi Podcast covers science fiction on television and in the movies. Basically anything but in print (that is covered by their other podcast: Dragon Page). Hosted by Michael, Evo, Summer, and Joe the podcast is quite informative. These people go to all the sci fi (and related) movies and watch all the tv [...]

Security Now! is a podcast by Steve Gibson with host Leo Laporte. The technology descriptions are basic (i.e. for beginners) but also very comprehensive. Most importantly, it is right up to date with news about current malware and ways or pointers to avoid or fix it. There are even written transcripts if one needs to [...]

TWiT (This Week In Tech) is the big gun of technology podcasts. Starring Leo Laporte and a bunch of the old Tech TV crowd. It’s a must listen every week. From Dvorak’s constant self-promotion and griping to the funny outtakes at the end you can tell that everyone is having a good time. There are [...]

Vidcast Hak .5 is getting better and better with each episode. The production values are very high and the content is a grab bag of so many things that there are bound to be items of interest for almost any tech taste. The bloopers at the end are always good for a laugh especially the [...]

Videoblog/cast CommandN is getting better. In particular, Mikey (the one of many nicknames) is starting to look somewhat comfortable in front of the camera. The pacing is getting better, too. And, oh yeah, content: the content (tech news, how tos, web site picks) is good, too.
