The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) is the best source of information about movies that I know of. It’s wonderfully comprehensive. It’s also a wonderful hypertext in the original sense of the word. Following links from movies to the actors to their movies, etc., etc. is just a lot of fun.

The movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire seems to leave out about half the book but what’s there is good. The movies are definitely getting better as they go along. The new Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) isn’t as good but Miranda Richardson as Rita Skeeter is a great addition. This was my favourite book [...]

The Firefly-Serenity Chinese Pinyinary translates all the Chinese slang used in Firefly. The site is well designed so you can look up phrases by episode, words, etc. A lot of fun and just another layer to a well-crafted show.

I thought this movie was good but not great. Not enough action for me as the FF spent most of the time aquiring and learning about their powers and not enough actually using them (I guess that’s for the sequel). I did think they did a good job with the special effects on Mr. Fantastic [...]

A great movie. It’s about the US and Canadian Quad Rugby Teams (quad rugby was originally called Murderball but the name was sanitized). He men in wheelchairs disspelling stereotypes of the “dis” abled. These guys are much more able than most. Nice personal stories. I would have liked to see more of the sport itself. [...]
