X-MEN: THE LAST STAND is the latest installment of the X-Men movies series and while many have complained that the new director didn’t get it I thought it was a good movie. The special effects were up to the same level as the first 2 movies and there was lots of mayhem showing off the mutant powers.

The plot made about as much sense as the second movie (i.e. some but not a whole lot) and the only “dumb” gratuitous move in my opinion was using most of the Golden Gate bridge as a conveyance when nothing that dramatic was necessary.

Note for those that usually leave before the credits have finished: there is a key short scene that runs after the credits and leaves more of an opening for a sequel than would be expected given that so many of the “stars” are killed or “unmutated” in the movie.
